What Came First: Marketing or Content?


The importance around content is something we see all the time in the marketing industry. The notion of producing original content is marketing 101 and will probably be highlighted at any seminar you attend, any marketing article you read.

We have been talking a lot about strategy lately and how important it is to map out your marketing strategy before you dive in. So after you have all your ducks lined up in a row, then you have to execute your attack, but it is a classic chicken and egg dilemma. Is your company focusing on content marketing or marketing content?

The Canadian Marketing Association has released their case studies that illustrate both a B2B and a B2C organization focus on developing original content to effectively build brand awareness and interest in their products.
