DRMG is pleased to be supporting the 7th Annual Free-Them Freedom Walk. This event is a great way to raise awareness and funds to help end exploitation in Canada. All donations this year will be going towards the Aurora House.
What is the Free-Them Freedom Walk?
The Free-Them Freedom Walk is an annual event that raises awareness and funds to end exploitation in Canada. The walk will take place on Saturday, September 21st at the Westin Harbour Castle, from 9 am-12 pm. Over 700 attendees are expected to take part in this years 5KM freedom walk, to help end human trafficking.
Aurora House
This year, the donations are being directed to the Aurora House. This beautifully renovated, multi-leveled safe house, provides community-based housing and support services that empower females who have been trafficked and exploited in Canada, to thrive in society. It is one of the only safe houses in Ontario, that will take and help victims of trafficking who are pregnant, or have recently given birth.
How to get involved
You can get engaged and register to take part in the 5KM walk. You may also make a generous donation to help survivors of human trafficking receive shelter, long-term counselling, and holistic services. Lastly, you can volunteer as a chaperone or a doula.
