Oakville is seen as a relatively rich city; however, over 18,000 residents are living in poverty. The Kerr Street Mission (KSM) is striving to “do more good” and “do good better” to help those struggling. For more than two decades, KSM has been providing essential programs and services for families in need. By developing innovative programs and seeking partnerships, Kerr Street aims to meet the needs of the many people who are in distress or struggling to provide the basic necessities for themselves and their families.

Community Services

Kerr Street offers a variety of core programs: Community Meals, Pre-Natal Nutrition, After-School Program, Summer Day Camp, and more. They connect, engage, inspire, and come alongside to support, encourage, and guide families in our community who need it most.

Kerr Street Mission is also committed to helping youth learn, develop and prepare themselves for life after high school. KSM engages youth in constructive activities through safe, welcoming environments, so they can develop and reach their fullest potential.

KSM also offers the Restore Method of Care to help those who are in need of assistance; whether that is the hungry, uneducated, or those who are mentally unstable. At Kerr Street, we want to ensure more individuals are able to make meaningful contributions to their families and communities. If staff can help during the process, they are more than happy to lend a hand, assisting care planners to uncover and address the root causes of each person’s situation. They will create a viable plan to provide direction, accountability, relief and hope.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at this year’s Kerr Street Mission Classic Golf Tournament! We are grateful for the beautiful weather and to have been able to share this day with the Kerr Street team.

The generous donations and live auction proceeds will help fund KSM’s After School Childcare Program. We are excited to share that over $103,000 was raised for Kerr Street Mission – an increase of nearly $10,000 from last year!
